The TempScrew™
The Temperature Measurement Tool
The TempScrew is a U.S. manufactured tool that is readily available and yields greater accuracy than other products currently on the market. The development of Consolidated Engineering Lab’s TempScrew was conducted with state of the art equipment and scientific statistical modeling techniques.
The TempScrew can be installed in virtually any location where temperature needs to be measured. No other instrumentation is required! Simply install the TempScrew, perform the test, and then send the screw to us! *

TempScrews are manufactured to unique specifications that enable temperature measurements in difficult and demanding locations. The automotive and aerospace industries often can use the TempScrew to measure peak temperatures inside moving engines!

Consolidated Engineering Labs technicians are available for difficult or problematic TempScrew applications. Custom TempScrews can also be ordered for unique test projects – contact Consolidated Engineering Labs if you have questions.

* See the TempScrew Product Guide for proper installation, testing, and removal.

TempScrews function on the relatively simple principle of thermal tempering (thermal softening) of hardened alloy steel. The maximum temperature is determined based on the time of exposure (known from experimental conditions) and the measured hardness.

ORDERING:

TempScrews can be ordered directly from Consolidated Engineering Labs, Oakland Branch Office.

Overnight delivery service and tooling kits for installing TempScrews are available – just tell us at the time of order and we’ll be happy to meet your needs!

TempScrews are available in the following two sizes; the dimensions are specified in metric units.

 M1.6 x 0.35 (1.6 mm dia, 0.35 mm pitch)

M3 x 0.53mm (3 mm dia, 0.5 mm pitch)
